It was on the sets of DDLJ that Kajol and Karan Johar (who was assisting Aditya Chopra at the time) got to know each other.

The duo hit it off instantly. During KKHH's planning stages he approached Kajol, who at once consented.

KKHH, also starring cousin Rani Mukherji turned out to be a milestone in Kajol's career as it fetched her third Filmfare trophy.
