After giving two hits in a row (Baazigar, Karan Arjun), Kajol and Shah Rukh Khan teamed up for another blockbuster in Yashraj Films Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge.

During the making, designer Manish Malhotra had such a hard time convincing Kajol to wear wigs and make-up, that it required director Aditya Chopra to intervene and handle the matter.

The director's conviction finally paid off. Not only did Kajol look gorgeous, but also bagged her first Filmfare award for best actress.
