Take this scene. It reeks of Amrish Puri slapping Shah Rukh. That it is the same actor giving the indignant father slap, of course, helps my statement!

But then, whether it is Shah Rukh or Abhishek, he does a pretty good job of it.

However, what disappoints you is that a director known for his hard-hitting films -- at least ones that make front-benchers cheer and clap -- resorts to stunts like this one.

Hard-hitting it is, and quite literally, too!
