'She is number one!'

She, a highly acclaimed actress.

He is Kaifi Azmi.

And when it comes to his daughter Shabana, he is nothing but praise -- for the daughter, the actress, the human being:

I am proud. Very proud of my daughter.

Shabana is a fine artiste -- in fact, she's number one!

Art for her means not just a way of earning money. It is a means of serving people, too.

In fact it amazes me that she does so much for people, and so tirelessly.

She is right there, in the slums, concerned for people, raising her voice for their cause in the Rajya Sabha.

She has been a model daughter. I can't ever remember her disappointing me. She probably never will...

Oh yes, actually, she does have a weakness: Us. Her parents. And her brother. She loves her family very much...
