GE global chairman on 3-day visit to India

Jeffrey R Immelt, global chairman of General Electric Company was in New Delhi on Thursday as part of his three-day visit to India.

GE had earlier supplied turbines used in the Dabhol power plant set up by Ratnagiri Gas and Power Pvt Ltd.

These turbines had faced glitches which have prevented the plant from running on full capacity. It is, however, learnt that Immelt had not met power ministry officials on Thursday.
