Nano welcome in Gujarat: Modi

Hailing historical linkages between the Tatas and their Parsi heritage and the state of Gujarat, state chief minister Narendra Modi indicated that the embattled Nano factory in Singur in West Bengal was welcome in Gujarat.

"Centuries ago, when Parsis landed off the coast of Gujarat, the then King sent them a cup brimful with milk, indicating that there was no way he could accommodate more people. The Parsis then mixed sugar in the milk indicating that they would mingle similarly with the local population," he said.
