This should normally warm the cockles of the builders' hearts. But with many a market observer asking people to wait before they jump in to buy property, it appears that the slump in the real estate market might go on for a while.
Also, analysts say that the consumers' elation might be a bit premature as chances of interest rates falling any time too soon are pretty slim.
