Most Indians prefer smoking ban
Days before government adopted regulations prohibiting people from smoking in workplaces and public places is implemented, a survey revealed that an overwhelming majority of Indians favoured smoke-free zones in the country.
According to the survey, 92 per cent respondents all over India and 96 per cent in Mumbai supported the regulations for making all workplaces and public places in India smoke-free.
From all over India, 84 per cent respondents felt that breathing smoke from other people's cigarettes is a serious health hazard.
