How Obama plans to tackle the crisis

Obama supports doubling federal funding for basic research in science and technology to boost home-grown innovation and ensure competitiveness of US technology-based businesses.

Giving emphasis to green technologies, Obama plans to invest over $150 billion over 10 years for next generation of biofuels and fuel infrastructure and boost commercialization of plug-in hybrids, promote development of renewable energy etc.

America's manufacturing workforce will be trained and fully prepared to launch green technologies that will be in high demand throughout the world.

Barack Obama believes that America should lead the world in broadband penetration. Obama wants every American to have access broadband Internet access.
