"With this, a major portion of the work on the 5.6-km-long Bandra-Worli Sea Link has been done," Maharashtra’s Minister of Public Works Department Anil Deshmukh said on Thursday.
"Earlier we could not work on the sea link during the monsoons since the cable stayed bridge was not complete but it will not be the case this year. We will be opening the bridge to the people by January 2009," the minister said.
