French rush to learn Darjeeling Tea secrets

What is on offer now is a two-month 'refresher course', soon a six-month course will be started. The company is charging a fee of $150 a month for a short-term course but the fee for the six-month course would be $1,000.

"We are actually gearing towards setting up a full-fledged school for tea management studies exclusively for foreign students," Lochan said.

He is optimistic that their current venture would "be a big landmark in promoting Indian tea globally because the youths trained by us would not only become popularise by word of mouth the uniqueness of our tea, but even help set up marketing channels for exporting the premium tea globally."
