Finland
March 25, 2008
Since 1998, Finland has been judged to be the world's least corrupt country, according to the annual survey by the Berlin-based organisation Transparency International. With the same score as Denmark, Finland too ranks number 1.
Finland scored 9.4 for the second consecutive year.
Reasons for Finland's impressive show:
Record low unemployment
Well-knit law and order
Controlled inflation
Stable economy
