Suzlon Energy offered between $1 million and $5 million. Suzlon Energy Ltd of Amsterdam, a leading supplier of wind turbines made this contribution.
Suzlon chairman Tulsi R Tanti is one of the richest Indians. Tanti has announced plans to develop environmentally friendly power generation in India and China at the Clinton's Global Initiative meeting.
