What it does: It publishes three newspapers ---- Hindustan Times (English), Hindustan (Hindi) and Mint (English), a national business paper that was launched in February 2007. It has an exclusive arrangement with Wall Street Journal to reproduce its content in India. It has launched its FM radio channel, Fever 104, with the help of a consulting partnership with Virgin Radio.

It also publishes a children's magazine called Nandan, a women's magazine called Kadambini and a youth oriented publication, HT Next.

On the Internet, it operates two news Web sites -- hindustantimes.com and livemint.com -- and a job portal, shine.com. Through PACE, it partners with schools to add value to education. It also hosts events and offers marketing solutions.

Promoter: HT Media is led by Shobhana Bhartia who is vice chairperson and editorial director, and is a part of the KK Birla Group.

Did you know? The first edition of the Hindustan Times newspaper was inaugurated by Mahatma Gandhi in 1924. It has entered the FM radio market with Fever 104 FM.

In the news: Firefly has acquired a social networking site -- desimartini.com. The group recently started a new business, Strategic Partnerships, to cater to the advertising needs of growth companies by providing them with a cashless form of advertising.
