How Nobel laureate Yunus helped defeat poverty
Before the felicitation function began, the Nobel Laureate's daughter Monica Yunus who is a singer at the Metropolitan Opera in New York, enthralled the audience with a song that electrified the atmosphere.
Monica Yunus is one of America's most promising young sopranos.
The speakers at the event noted that Yunus was only the third Bengali after Indians Rabindranath Tagore and Amartya Sen to have received a Nobel Prize.
