The Swift is here!
What makes Suzuki Swift so desirable!
Asked if Suzuki had plans to use India as a production base for exporting Swift to other markets, he said there were no immediate plans. "However, we will be exporting it to neighbouring markets," Khattar added.
Swift, Suzuki Motor's world car, is based on the European design and styling, built with Japanese quality and precision. With the participation of Indian engineers during the design stage, the car has many India-relevant features.
"These include a higher ground clearance, more headroom in the rear, a more robust supension and more powerful air conditioning," the company said, adding that the car carries a high 86 per cent localisation.
Bookings for the model have already been started, the company said, adding that deliveries will begin in the first week of June.
