The IDC-Dataquest employee satisfaction survey 2005 has ranked IBM, Infosys [Get Quote], Genpact, Microsoft and Hewlett-Packard as the top 5 'dream companies' to work for in India.

The survey also named the top 10 most preferred BPO employers in India. iSeva and IBM Daksh are the most sought after in that category, followed by Ajuba, Genpact, HCL [Get Quote] Tech BPO, and Motif.

Almost 10 per cent employees of various companies were surveyed and a questionnaire consisting of 68 objective questions, including dream company, appraisal system, satisfaction, et cetera was given to them.

The survey also checked various aspects like 'sensitivity to women employees', 'transparency of appraisal system in the company', 'employees treated fairly regardless of age, caste or religion', 'excitement about the work', 'satisfaction with number of training days', 'salary structure', 'transparency in the management', 'look forward to work everyday'.
