US co in talks with Infosys, Wipro

US-based software company BEA Systems is in negotiations with five system integrators including Infosys, Wipro and HCL to build the eco-system around its enterprise portal rationalisation programme.

"We are launching an enterprise portal rationalisation initiative in the country, which will enable our prospective customers reduce costs, improve flexibility and management while building portals," Martin Connell, director, product marketing, BEA Systems, told newspersons in New Delhi.

He said the company is in talks with five Indian companies including HCL Infosystems, Wipro, Infosys and CMC for building an eco-system for the EPR initiatives, which will target verticals like e-governance, telecom and finance.

BEA provides platform that enables IT to create rationalised infrastructure bases on a service-oriented architecture and its products portfolio consist of BEA WebLogic Portal, BEA WebLogic Integration, WebLogic Server among others.
