To recognise women achievers in business, Electrolux Kelvinator and the Financial Express presented a set of awards to women from
various segments of corporate India.
At a glittering function in Mumbai, presided over by Finance Minister, Jaswant Singh, the awards were given in four categories:

The lifetime achievement award,
- The professional manager of the year award,
- The knowledge professional of the year award, and
- The woman entrepreneur of the year award.
Some of the most powerful women in India's corporate world turned up either to receive theirs or cheer on their peers. And in good sport, the male executives were there too. Reliance chief, Anil Ambani, the Mahindra Group's Anand Mahindra, MTV CEO Alex Kuruvilla and even Reserve Bank of India Governor, Y V Reddy were among those in the audience.
