August 26, 2004
Come September, Japanese electronics giant Casio Computer will launch the world's smallest digital camera with a zoom lens.
The camera measures only 79 cubic centimetres.
Casio's palm-sized Exilim camera is much smaller than others as, for the first time, it uses a ceramic lens.
According to Casio, ceramic lenses have a higher refractive index than glass lenses.
The Exilim cameras will be priced in the $455-$500 range and will be available from September 25. -- Agencies
