No talks with Reliance over equity: Jet

September 24, 2003 16:45 IST

Jet Airways on Wednesday said it was having no talks with the Reliance group over the latter picking up equity in the private domestic carrier.

Categorically denying a newspaper report to this effect, the airline said in a statement that "no such talks are in progress or have been envisaged between the Reliance group and the Jet Airways management."

It described as "totally misleading and incorrect" the report that the Ambanis were in talks with the airline management over picking up equity in India's largest private carrier.
