Your Views: Dual citizenship is good if taken with proper presciption or else we'll land up in trouble. Considering, our ways of
taking things lightly needs a drastic change to get the best out of it. Dual citizenship will evoke a feeling of wantedness and that
in itself is a good sign.

Your Views: Fears about dual citizenship is totally unwarranted.First of all it will give people of indian origin leaving abroad a
more sense of attachment with their origins. Its a fair act after all they have been doing for India. Its the time to repay them for
what can't be repaid. Citizenship can be revoked anytime if and when a person is found linked with nefarious activities harming
national interests.

visa. They can retain and operate account here. They can be treated in this country differnetly from say a American of nonIndian
Origin. This should tie them up to our country more.

Your Views: dual citizenship makes Indians to support much to home country by so many ways ,financing, investing, building
both countries which he/she got citizenship. He cannot forget the Home country.everyone who borns in India never wants to
lose His citizenship and cannot forget his own land, in his total life atlease in the end of his days he wants to see his native
land,Bharat Desh. By dual citizenship he definitely thinks both countries to prosper and tries to build good relations with two
countries. but like terrorist supporters may misuse it , then we have to take care in this regard.

Your Views: No, i do not feel much benefit from dual citizenship.People with dual citizenship will suffer under the corrupt Govt
structure at all levels. Most would entangle under false cases and to get out with heavy amounts. In civil courts it takes years to
solve minor land problems and we go back frustrated and dejected. we feel good if we do not have to do deal with any
govt.department from loacl to national level. Thanks, enjoy good and productive new year

Your Views: I cant see what the fuss is all about. What are the true "benefits" of dual citizenship? Firstly, it could help Indian
diaspora in "troubled" nations return when needed, but then this facility is not going to such countries anyways. Another
convenience is easier mobility to/fro India, but anybody who's travelled enough knows how long & painful the procedures in
Indian airports are, and citizenship wont really reduce overall pain. Monetarily, NRIs can now buy equity without being
considered "foreign owned", but ownership quotas will anyway ease except in a few industries like defence. So I fail to see
what "benefit" dual citizenship has to offer, but it sounds like one huge favour made by the Indian government. However, I also
cant understand the "security threat" perceived by paranoid people. There are far greater security threats operating within India
than overseas Indians. Every small accident in India being credited to the "ISI", I dare say that the Indian diaspora should
consider visiting India a "security threat" more than the reverse!! This is but an argument between the xenophobic and the
megalomaniac.

definitely encourage price hike in housing sector.

Your Views: Those people who did not get and could not get the Dual Citizenship, like the Gulf residents of India, are the ones
who are complainting. As per security, a foreign passport holder, has to apply for the visa, etc. Similarly, the dual Indian
passport is not automatic, and it will be available only, after filing a fresh application, and will be given after dual consideration
of the security etc. For the benefits, first there is emotional attachments with the culture and country of your birth. Secondly, if
you want to do any business or invest in a project or buy property etc. the indian beuracracy is so inefficient that one keeps
wondering whether one will be caught up in this and lose one's shirt. Being a citizen you automaticly get all the rights and
priviledges and safely carry on your business, as you wish. With a foreign passport, there are visa travels to many countries,
and coupled with visa free traavel to India, will enhance ones mobility and opportunities in this moving world.

Your Views: I believe dual citizenship is extremely beneficial to PIOs. Although I am in New Zealand, a part of me including
my property is in India where I was born. So, I can invest more freely in India now. The security concern from dual citizenship
is imaginary, because a terrorist can enter India from Pakistan without any dual citizenship. Pakistan has allowed dual citizenship
long ago, and so, I feel that the security concerns in India are misplaced.

rights-indian citizens with no voting rights (assam) and now pio with dual citizenship and pio with no citizenship let us put a stop
to all these and attend to day to day problems of indians in india and abroad who need help

Your Views: i thin dual citizenship will not create any threat to nations security bcz if a persons has taken birth in some other
country other than india and if his/her parents are from india then that person is sure to get dual citizenship since he has taken
birth in that particular country so he has got that country;s citizenship and since his parents are from india he has indian
citizenship too. creating threat to nations security all depends on what type of person he /she is. thanku

Your Views: I donot understand what this Dual Citizenship means. Media has talked a lot about it without telling us what
additional rights the NRIs will get. Hence may observations can not be professional. I feel with dual citizenship, Indian abroad
will become more arrogant in countries where they are. It is not good for our image. If on thinks that with dual citizenship the
investment from NRIs will increase, that may not happen as the impediments to the investment are internal to our system, which
will continue to be there

Your Views: First of all it is dual nationality that is planned ie no political rights just immigration freedom or two passport.
Which is not a bad idea. But while issuing them the nationality this has to be made sure that they are not involved in anti national
activity. More specifically still Khalistan supporters are there in Canada. Even muslim fundamentalist are supported in Britain,
there freedom to come may cause some concern .The same kind of thing as we are facing with bangaladesh or Pakistan
Remember they are more powerful and influential with outside support.

Your Views: Dual citizenship will certainly benifit especially for Technology development in India. If a talented PIO is a citizen
of some country, certainly he will try to give his best to that country which gives him the benifits of citizenship. Why he should
give India which ignores him? So offering Indian citizenship certainly will make him to think to do something to India which
cares him. His NRI deposits and creation of assets in India will cause lot of foreign currency flow into India. In addition if India
provides all facilities that he enjoys in other country, he may come bak and settle in India and use his entire talents for the benifit
of India.

Your Views: From a NRI point of view yes!! It still gives you the motivation to come that often to India. At the same time the
NRI can benifit from other countries they are staying in. Problems like Visa and custom problems will be less as well.

Your Views: Dual citizenship is a very good idea.It will help Pravasi Bhartiya a chnce to prove that they can also do something
for their motherland. They will bring lots of money into the country which will ultimately help in solving the vast unemployment &
pverty of our country.Living standard of our country will also improve. They will also bring lots of new technology in our country
that will create a lots of new jobs. Our youth will be at par with the youth of other developed country. In few years time India
will be a power in world market. It will not take long for India to realise its potential & its capacity to serve the humanity

Your Views: It is absolutely insane to provide dual citizenship to those who are essentially deserters of India. Moreover, why
this insanity to accord such a status to only those who are predominantly in white nation's. Ever heard of racial discrimination ?
Can anyone be more racist than our own PM ? What is the need for a poor nation, such as India, to pander to the needs of
those who are already provided for ? I am absolutely sure that those in the US and UK will send in their foreign born
nationalised children over to India for their higher education. And guess who foots the bill. Ofcourse it must be us poor, loyal
tax payers, who are not only unfortunate enough to struggle to survive in India, but also to subsidise the education for these
foreign born Indians by probably paying higher taxes. Honestly what have the ordinary NRI's done for our great nation ? Other
than criticise us and putting us down at each and every opportunity, they are mostly interested in making huge profits out of
India. In short, they are probably the luckiest bunch in this whole planet. Where else can anyone have a nation that provides
with all the subsidies that one needs and another to earn $ currency.

Your Views: Dual citizenship is something that should never have been conceptualized in the first place, let alone implemented.
Are we so bankrupt, financially and experientially (our Prime Minister says "We do not want your riches, we want the richness
of your experience.."; or something to that effect)? Why should we bestow citizenship on people who left our boundaries, for
greener [pun intended] pastures, and are keen on returning only when they find that the setting there [wherever they'd settled] is
too unfavourable for them and/or the scenario back home is exceedingly favourable for them, what with sops doled out at the
rate of a dime a dozen? I've no problems with them getting Indian citizenship but they ought to have to surrender the citizenship
they currently hold [and I reckon that should not deduct from "the richness of their experience"]. I mean, they can't have it both
ways, or are we so desperate for forex that we have bend over backwards to this extent? As far as nefarious activities go,
those who wish to indulge in them will do so, dual citizenship or no dual citizenship. There might be some benefits, - there are
always pros and cons - but the cons far outnumber the pros.

Your Views: Dual citizenship is beneficial without any doubt. It creates a sense of belonging and these citizens shall certainly be
more active in defending Indian position in their adopted countries. People who are spreading unfounded paranoia are those
who moan at everything. People inclined to engage in nefarious activities would do so anyway. This should be used as an
argument to deny priviledges to genuine aspirants. Believe me most of them, over 99% shall be genuine aspirants who gave up
Indian citizenship with heavy heart.
