BUSINESS Indian makes waves at IMF Raghuram Rajan, Professor of Finance at the Graduate School of Business, University of Chicago, became the first Indian to be chosen by the International Monetary Fund as its chief economist. At 40, he is the youngest individual to hold the coveted position and the first from a developing nation. Raghuram is a graduate in electrical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, and an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. He was a visiting professor at the Stockholm School of Economics and the Kellogg School at Northwestern University. Raghuram is new IMF chief economist 'I am against any kind of protectionism'
