Tata Power bags Rs 49 crore order

Tata Power Company Ltd has won a contract worth Rs 49 crore (Rs 490 million) from state-run Power Grid Corporation of India, the Bombay Stock Exchange said on Tuesday.

A notice posted on BSE Website, www.bseindia.com, said the order is for the supply and construction of a 400 KV transmission line in Maharashtra and is to be completed in 18 months.

At 12:29 p.m. Tata Power shares were down 0.34 per cent at Rs 118.15 at the BSE whose key index was down 0.73 per cent.
