Reliance has tied up with a number of handset manufacturers like LG and Daewoo to provide the handsets for its limited mobility service.
The LG phone here which also carries the Reliance brand name is a light, sleek Java enabled, multimedia ready CDMA phone is the entry level phone and costs about Rs 8,000.
On it, subscribers to Reliance's IndiaMobile service can not only talk but also surf the Internet, download audio and video clips, read newspaper clips and do text messaging.
The phones that are co-branded by Reliance come with a 12 month warranty and are covered by insurance, absolutely free, for three years.
The only drawback to these phones are the low picture and voice quality. The images on the screen tend to be pixelated while audio has a harsh metallic ring to it.
