Nandan Nilekani, managing director and COO, Infosys TechnologiesInfosys Technologies Ltd, the Bangalore-based global IT consulting and software services giant, is expanding its presence in Germany with a new engagement for BHF-Bank.

Infosys will assist BHF-Bank in realising its business-critical IT initiatives, by building new-generation IT applications, as well as meeting its current business imperatives, said company's managing director and chief operating officer Nandan Nilekani in Bangalore on Monday.

"Infosys is one of BHF-Bank's IT service providers for an organisation-wide, time-critical compliance program for international securities identification number, which is a security number standard all German banks must comply with in all the relevant IT systems," Nilekani stated.

Besides BHF-Bank, Infosys' list of clients in Germany includes Adidas, Preis24.com, and Franklin Templeton Investments.

Infosys is the pioneer of the global delivery model, and has leveraged its expertise to provide consulting and IT services to leading companies the world over.

"Infosys is establishing a strong presence as the IT partner of choice in Germany. We are committed to enabling our clients to use IT as a business advantage. Our expertise has enabled us to add value to business and mission-critical projects of BHF, one of the foremost banks in Germany", Nilekani affirmed.

According to Debjit Chaudhuri, Infosys' business development manager in Germany, Infosys brings its proficiency and global experience to leading German companies in the financial, automobile, and manufacturing domains.

"Our partnership with BHF highlights our understanding of the market and it's specific needs. We have launched our ISIN conversion service, which we hope will benefit many German financial organisations, and will work towards more Germany-specific solutions in the years to come," he added.

Infosys has partnered with several Fortune 1000 companies, providing a wide range of services for technology driven business transformation initiatives. It also has product co-development initiatives with communication and Internet infrastructure companies to create building blocks for the digital economy.
