Prodipto Ghosh appointed additional secretary in PMODr Prodipto Ghosh, currently on deputation to the Asian Development Bank, has been appointed additional secretary in the Prime Minister's Office. The appointment, which was approved by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet, comes in the wake of shifting of N K Singh, secretary in-charge of economic affairs in the PMO, to the Planning Commission as a member recently. Ghosh, who belongs to the 1969 batch of IAS, is expected to look after economic subjects in the PMO. A doctorate in economics from the Carnegie-Mellon University, Ghosh is considered as more of a technocrat than a bureaucrat having graduated as an engineer from IIT, Delhi. UNI, PTI |
