Government imposes provisional anti-dumping duties on white cement

The government has imposed a provisional anti-dumping duty on all imports of white portland cement from the United Arab Emirates and Iran.

Provisional anti-dumping duty of $30 per MT and $46 per MT have been imposed on all imports of white cement from UAE and Iran respectively, a notification issued by the Ministry of Finance said.

The duty will be effective upto December 13, 2001 and shall be payable in Indian currency, it said.
