NDTV World won't be part of Star bouquet

Anjan Mitra

Even as Star India holds discussions with NDTV on a review of their relationship, the former has said it is not interested in distributing the proposed infotainment channel, NDTV World.

"We are not interested (in distributing NDTV World as part of the Star bouquet)," Star India chief executive Peter Mukerjea said.

Mukerjea said, "These discussions are related to programming, and will become apparent over a period of time."

Though Mukerjea refused to divulge details, especially on Star having an editorial say vis-a-vis Star News, sources indicated that among the many proposals discussed was one to have an independent editorial board comprising noted Indian professionals and personalities.
