Sinha undergoes surgery in US

Finance Minister Yashwant Sinha underwent a "successful" surgery for his kidney ailment at a hospital in Boston in the United States Monday night, delayed reports reaching New Delhi said on Tuesady.

Sinha had gone to the US last week for removal of a cyst over his kidney, which had been troubling him for over a year.

Sinha has been discharged after a laser surgery at a Boston hospital and is now recuperating at the residence of his son who stays there, the reports said.

The FM was once admitted in All India Institute of Medical Sciences and subsequently went to Boston for treatment last year, reports said.
