Anti-dumping duty imposed on China, Russia

The anti-dumping authority has recommended anti-dumping duties against imports of alloy and non-alloy steel billets, bars and rounds from China and Russia while also recommending such duties against imports of ferro silicon from the two countries.

The Directorate General of Anti-dumping and Allied duties under the commerce and industry ministry, in its final findings, has recommended anti-dumping duty of $14.9 and $90 per metric tonne on imports of certain grades of alloy and non-alloy steel billets, bars and rounds from Russia and a duty of $133 dollar per MT against China.

The DGAD conducted the investigation from January to September 1999, into the alleged dumping of these items on the basis of a petition filed by Ispat Profile India Ltd.
