STRETCHING FOREVER: The air is humid and heavy with the smell of salt. Barely 30 kilometres from the center of Bombay, salt pans gleaming in the sunlight, stretch across hundreds of acres. They make an incongruous sight in a city where every inch of land sells at a premium.
