Govt to file caveat in SC on 4th cellular issue

In view of the dismissal of a petition against finalisation of licences for fourth cellular slot by Bombay High Court, the Centre will file a caveat in the Supreme Court to prevent any party to the case at Bombay from obtaining any ex-parte orders on the issue.

"The government is filing a caveat in the Supreme Court on Wednesday in the wake of dismissal of petition of VSNL employees by Bombay High Court," official sources said.

On the government's proposal of filing a petition in the Supreme Court seeking a directive to transfer various litigations, Department of Telecommunication has finalised the draft and it could be filed any time, sources said.
