TCS opens software centre in HungaryTata Consultancy Services, India's largest software exporter, said on Thursday it has opened a software development centre in Hungary to service its European customers. Located in Budapest, the centre is TCS' 24th offshore development centre and will have a strength of 100 software professionals by the end of 2001, TCS said in a statement. TCS said 80 per cent of the staff will be Hungarians. It plans to hire 100 people from technical universities in Hungary every year till 2005, the statement said. Unlisted TCS is a division of Tata Sons, the holding company of India's second-biggest industrial conglomerate, the Tata group. TCS, which has over 16,000 software professionals working in about 50 countries, earned 23 per cent of its revenue from Europe last year. It posted a revenue of Rs 31.42 billion for the year ended March.
