UTI withdraws special counters

Unit Trust of India on Thursday said that redemptions in its flagship scheme US-64 were between Rs 50-60 million on the second day.

"The redemption levels are roughly on the same lines as on Wednesday," UTI executive director BG Daga said. Sources said that UTI had withdrawn the 100-odd special counters it had opened on Wednesday. Meanwhile, the US-64 units inched up further on the NSE to close at Rs 9.45, gaining another Re 0.20 over Wednesday's close.
