RBI, BSE to remain open on Wednesday despite strikeThe Reserve Bank of India will be open on Wednesday despite a one-day strike called by labour unions in Maharashtra, whose capital is Bombay. "The RBI is making all the arrangements to function normally," the Indian central bank's spokeswoman said. She said the central bank will hold its daily repo and reverse repo auctions and the two-weekly auction of 182-day treasury bills as scheduled on Wednesday. The day-long strike is to protest against the federal government's economic reforms and is expected to cripple life in the city which is the country's financial capital. The Bombay Stock Exchange said it will be open for trade on Wednesday.
