Here we feature photographs readers sent in of some of India's serene seashores.
First up is Naveena Kedlaya's photograph of the sunset at Malpe beach, Udupi district, Karnataka.
"Udupi is my native place and I often visit Malpe to witness the sunset. This photo was taken in December 2009," she says. "Whenever I see this photo, I feel like I'm home!"

"I took this picture one early morning with the sun playing hide and seek," he shares.

Our final photograph is one sent in by Rishi Bhandoo, of the secluded beach of Vengurla.
"The unspoiled beach and no commercialisation makes it a perfect venue for a break from the crowds of the city," he says.
