The World's Top 10 MBA Schools Are...

The Financial Times Global MBA Rankings 2025 feature the world's 100 best business schools.
The institutes are ranked based on 21 criteria, including alumni network, faculty expertise, diversity of students, career progression and international opportunities.
The FT also surveys alumni three years after they have completed their MBA for eight of its 21 criteria (alumni responses contribute to 56 per cent of the weightage) to arrive at the final rankings.

1. Wharton, University of Pennsylvania, USA 

The private Ivy League business school has been ranked as the No 1 MBA school in the world, as per FT's 2025 Rankings.
With a strong faculty, Wharton's full time MBA is known for its diversity and value for money.
Average weighted salary: $241,522

2. Columbia Business School, USA

Established in 1916, the Columbia Business School -- one of the oldest business schools -- is the second school from USA on the list. 
In 2023, it had ranked #1 in the FT MBA list when Wharton could not participate in the rankings.
It is known for its excellence in finance, strong alumni network, distinguished faculty and research.
Average weighted salary: $242,747

3. IESE Business School, Spain

The IESE Business School's full-time MBA has been ranked the third best in the world and the top MBA programme in Europe.
It is best known for its alumni network, high percentage of international students and value for money.

4. Insead, France 

This year, two MBA schools are ranked at No 4.
Insead -- which ranked at No 2 in 2023 and 2024 -- has slipped to No 4 this year.
The MBA school, however, saw a 117 per cent increase in alumni salary, as compared to 2024.
Average weighted salary: $209,992

4. SDA Bocconi School of Management, Italy

Established in 1971, the SDA Bocconi School of Management shares the No 4 rank with Insead.
With a carbon footprint of 1, the institute is ranked the most sustainable campuses in the world.
Average weighted salary: $217,241

6.  MIT Sloan School of Management, USA

The Sloan School of Management at Massachusetts Institute of Technology has consistently been ranked among the Top 10 MBA schools as per QS Rankings.
It is ranked No 6 as per FT's Global MBA Rankings this year.
Average weighted salary: $232,565

7. London Business School, UK

The London Business School has improved its rankings from No 8 last year to No 7 in 2025.
The average salary of LBS alumni has increased by 111 per cent as per FT's Global MBA report.

8. Esade Business School, Spain

With a carbon footprint of 4, Esade's full time MBA makes it to No 8.
According to FT, 100 per cent of its faculty are doctorates, emphasising the school's stronghold on research.
Additionally, Esade alumni saw a 173 per cent salary increase in 2025.

9. HEC Paris, France

HEC has climbed up three positions from last year's rankings and is ranked among the world's Top 10 MBA schools this year.
The institute has seen a 136 per cent increase in alumni salary since last year.

10. Northwestern University, Kellogg School of Management, USA

With 100 per cent of its faculty members as doctorates, USA's Kellogg School of Management rounds off the list of Top 10 Global MBA Rankings this year.
It has slipped four places; KSM was ranked No 6 in FT's 2024 rankings.
