The popstar turned up to open the new H&M store in the city. And stopped the traffic! Here's what unfolded.

She's known for her quirky sense of style as much as for her music. So it wasn't surprising when Lady Gaga brought traffic to a halt at New York's Times Square when she attended the opening of the new H&M store.

So what exactly happens when Lady Gaga goes shopping? Snapshots of Gaga's 'Little Monsters' as they awaited her in a cold New York evening.

For starters, you have crowds waiting to catch a glimpse of the popstar hours before her arrival!

According to various reports Gaga's fans were already beginning to line up outside the store from as early as 5pm. The store was scheduled to open at midnight.
