The Wine Rack Bra and other crazy innerwear!

A US gifting company has just launched their unique 'Wine Rack Bra', which you can fill up with an entire bottle of wine. We bring you a first look, along with other innovative innerwear that has made the news in recent years!

Now you can give a boozy boost to your assets -- courtesy Wine Rack, a bra that holds 25 oz of drink while giving a lift.

A New Jersey company that specialises in wacky gifts is selling the Wine Rack, an assets-enhancing piece of polyurethane that allows thirsty ladies to nurse their drinks.

"You won't find this at Victoria's Secret. It is not like one boob fills up and the other goes flat. I made my girlfriend put it on, and she looked good," The New York Daily News quoted Paul Krasulja of BaronBob.com, which sells the wacky bras that range from the petite 32A to the amply endowed 38C.

It may sound like a nutty invention, but this is hardly the first time that innovative innerwear has headlines. Click through the following pages to see some of the other unusual ones we've seen over the years!

The 'Grow-Your-Own-Rice' bra

Only two months ago, lingerie giant Triumph launched their 'Grow-Your-Own-Rice' bra in Tokyo. With cups that look like flower pots, it transforms into a rice growing kit, allows the wearer to cultivate rice anytime, anywhere!

It was created in the hope that more people would become familiar with farming and develop an awareness regarding the importance of agriculture, according to the lingerie brand.

Dripping diamonds

Diamond giant ORRA unveiled a dazzling diamond bustier worth one million euros in Mumbai on March 25.

Model Anjali Lavanya had the honour of modelling the bustier, which has been entirely created by hand and is studded with Belgian diamonds.

The Colombian city of Cali hosts a 'biofashion' show every year, featuring environmentally-friendly creations made from fruit, leaves, flowers etc. The aim is to promote eco awareness and allow designers to let loose their creativity.

This sexy suit of dried roses, woven bark and leaves was shown in November last year, at the 2010 instalment.

Hands on!

This unique piece was seen back in July of 2008 -- the Portuguese entry to an international lingerie design competition in Beijing. Now if that isn't getting handsy, what is?

Creating fireworks!

Meet the next original pioneer of eccentric lingerie after Madonna.

Lady Gaga has shown us so many styles that we could have easily featured her solo, but we decided against it. Instead, here's just one sample of her crazy style -- her fireworks bodysuit!

When the popster performed in Toronto last June, pyrotechnics actually blazed forth from this bustiere while she sang (want to see more of her eccentric fashions? Click here)!

The 'marriage hunting' bra

In May last year, Triumph launched their 'Konkatsu Bra', also in Tokyo. Literally translated, Konkatsu means 'marriage-hunting'.

The bra features a marriage countdown clock showing the marriage deadline set by the wearer and when an engagement ring is inserted between the cups the melody of The Wedding March plays to celebrate the engagement! The characters on the bra read 'now hunting for a husband'.

All charged up

Another great take on innerwear, the Triumph 'Photovoltaic-Powered Bra' was launched by the tireless lingerie giant in 2008 -- and it can generate enough power to charge a cell phone or an iPod!

The environmentally friendly, green-coloured bra sports a solar panel that can be worn around the stomach. It is equipped with a solar panel which generates electricity using sunlight and distributes it to various types of electrical devices when the power cable is connected.

Good enough to eat

Here we have edible lingerie, which we're all familiar with -- but that doesn't necessarily make it less bizarre! This is just one such delight, showcased at a chocolate festival in Bucharest back in 2006.

Kick the butt

Yet another Triumph wonder! The 'Anti-Smoking Manifesto Bra' was launched in 2003 -- it holds a cleavage capsule containing lavender fragrance, to calm feelings of irritation while attempting to give up smoking.

The capsule was also available in a jasmine fragrance, which the company said altered the taste of cigarettes to make them unpleasant.

Sporty style

This one certainly shows a passion for sport!

It was spotted on a German soccer fan in Berlin during the 2002 World Cup semi-final match between Germany and South Korea.

Feathered fantasy

And finally, we hope no fluffy yellow chicks were hurt in the making of this one!

Gisele Bundchen blazed on the catwalk wearing this feathered bra at Pierre Balmain's Spring-Summer 2000 ready-to-wear showing.
