LFW: Amalraj checkmates us on the catwalk!

Here's what Amalraj Sengupta showcased at Lakme Fashion Week on Day Four.

Using a black and white palette, designer Amalraj Sengupta brought to life his collection 'In the Game of Chess' on the LFW ramp today.

Flaps, layers, pleats, pin tucks for both the men and women's garments created a kind of futuristic feel, while the fabrics -- cotton, linen, silk, organza, satin and chiffon -- were hand-picked for summer.

We start off with this backless number sporting a unique backless cut.

For the guys, we have this white and beige mix panelled shirt with minute pleating at the sleeves and down either side of the torso.

With its high collar and asymmetrical hemline, this dress stands out.

Acquin Pais switches the palette with a black jacket and carryall.

Exaggerated puffed sleeves and contoured hips define another all-white outfit.

This zippered jacket certainly looks straight out of Star Wars!

The designer opts for a softer look with this more delicate ensemble.
