Here are fashion's highest-paid catwalk queens, as per the latest rankings from Forbes.

Each year, Forbes Magazine releases a list of fashion's golden girls -- supermodels who are raking in the millions. In the pages to follow, we bring you the who's who of 2013, based on their earnings over the past year.

10. Lara Stone

Earnings this year: $3.2 million

In 2010, Lara Stone became the first model in years to appear in several of Calvin Klein's brands at once -- including Calvin Klein Jeans, ck Calvin Klein and Calvin Klein Collection.

Even as the Dutch-born Stone continues to model for CK's jeans, accessories and jewellery lines, her earnings saw a dip this year because she'd taken time off to deliver her baby son, Alfred Walliams.

9. Candice Swanepoel

Earnings this year: $3.3 million

Discovered at a flea market when she was f-i-f-t-e-e-n, Candice Swanepoel shot to international fame after being signed up as one of Victoria's Secret's 'Angels'.

Even though it remains her biggest contract yet, the South African hottie's deals with several other giants including Versace and Max Factor put her at number nine. She is up one position from last year's 10.

8. Joan Smalls

Earnings this year: $3.5 million

She topped Models.com's ratings this past April and has been going places. The pretty Puerto Rican is a Victoria's Secret Angel and has been part of ad campaigns for practically every major design house ever since she made her runway debut for Versace in 2010.

The first Latina to be the face of cosmetics giant Estee Lauder, Smalls maintains a fairly low profile and had sought to become a model more for financial security than the glamour associated with it.

Interestingly, Joan Smalls knew she wanted to be a model from the time she was very young, entered numerous local pageants... and lost every single one of them.

Funny isn't it how things turn out?!

Smalls makes her debut in the elite list this year.

7. Carolyn Murphy

Earnings this year: $3.6 million

Even though her earnings were up by just $ 0.1 million from last year, Carolyn Murphy was up two spots from last year. Having started her career when she was all of 17, Murphy has worked for some of the best names in the business including Steven Meisel, Mario Testino and Karl Lagerfeld.

Besides representing Estee Lauder since 2001 Carolyn Murphy also hosts the television series, Project Runway: All Stars.

6. Hilary Rhoda

Earnings this year: $4 million

Also an Estee Lauder model, Hilary Rhoda lets her mother Marianne manage her finances, a move that seems to have worked in her favour. Rhoda also models for Nike and Hugo Boss when she isn't walking the runway for Ralph Lauren and Victoria's Secret.

5. Liu Wen

Earnings this year: $4.3 million

China is a market that, according to the Boston Consulting Group, will triple in size by 2020 and in it Liu Wen is an important figure. Wen was the first Chinese supermodel to walk the ramp for Victoria's Secret and has been the face of several high profile brands including H&M, Estee Lauder, Hugo Boss and Calvin Klein among others.

4. Kate Moss

Earnings this year: $5.7 million

Even as her earnings have dropped from $13.5 million in 2011 to $9.2 million last year, Moss remains one of the iconic names in the fashion industry. Endorsing several high profile brands including Mango, Rimmel and Vogue Eyewear, the 39-year-old still packs a punch even though she's dropped two spots from last year.

Moss who turns 40 in January next year will don her birthday suit for Playboy's 60th anniversary issue.

3. Adriana Lima

Earnings this year: $6 million

Even though her earnings dropped from last year's $7.3 million to $6 million this year, the Brazilian Victoria's Secret Angel Adriana Lima was up from number four to three in this year's list.

Adriana Lima has been a Victoria's Secret Angel since 2000 -- the longest any model has ever been -- and owes most of her income to the lingerie giant.

However, when she isn't being a mother-of-two and a devout Catholic, Lima endorses several brands including Donna Karan, Miu Miu and Metrocity among others.

2. Miranda Kerr

Earnings this year: $7.2 million

Almost doubling her income from last year's $4 million, Miranda Kerr is at number two in Forbes' list of richest supermodels -- up a whopping four spots from last year's number seven.

Even though Kerr isn't a Victoria's Secret model anymore (she says she chose not to renew her contract this year because she'd have to commit three months of her year to the lingerie retailer), Mrs Orlando Bloom's career is taking off in Asia.

Forbes informs that the Aussie beauty has signed high profile endorsements with companies like EMODA, Samantha Thavasa and Clear. This of course only adds to her income from the cosmetics line she owns and other deals including ones she inked with brands such as Mango, Lipton and Quantas.

1. Gisele Bundchen

Earnings this year: $42 million

Leading the pack seventh year in a row Gisele Bundchen has been aptly described by Forbes as 'an unparalleled force within the fashion world' even though her paycheck has seen a dip from last year's $45 million, at $42 million this year.

Besides replacing Beyonce in H&M, being the face of Chanel and taking over David Yurman from Kate Moss, Gisele Bundchen continued walking the ramp for several high-profile labels even as she endorses several brands including Pantene, Esprit and Versace.

Most of her income however comes from the partnerships she has with several accessory collections including the popular Ipanema flip-flops.

Even with her reduced income ($42 million), Gisele Bundchen made more in a single year than ALL the other models in this list whose combined paychecks total $40.8 million.
