Every day, as you wake up, your brain gets alive to your conscious self and you start your robotic activities.

Make some space.
The useless needs to go, to feel lighter.

5. Learn something new

And keep it simple. The best example can be of a word.
Learning a new word gives you a high; a sense of worth, that a new day bought something new about it.

6. Do not watch or read news

That's what people generally do, read the newspaper.
But opposite to popular belief, it makes your system depressing.
News items can be very different, most of them dealing with some kind of tragedy or mishap or corruption.
Starting your day reading depressing news is not a good idea. Listen to music instead.
You may choose to read news online in the middle of the day, when you take a break.
A well begun day is the secret of several successful people who are happy in their careers.
