The name Hyosung might not make your heart skip a beat but the second coming of the Korean automaker in India (courtesy of Garware Motors) has a lot of promising stuff lined up for performance enthusiasts.
For starters, the company has launched two bikes already and plan to launch a few more. But today, we are going to talk only about their top of the line ST7 cruiser, which is available for Rs 6.4 lakh (on the road, Pune).

First things first, the ST7 is a looker. There is ample amount of chrome present on the bike, right from the headlight to the exhaust.
Infact the chrome is so much that one can't fail to notice it whenever you look at it. The huge handle bars look inviting, while the twin exhausts cover almost half the bike.

The instrument cluster is simple and neat and goes all the way to 220 kmph on start up, giving you clues to what this machine can do. Take the ST7 anywhere and it attracts attention, in a very good way.
People come asking to know more about this beast and what is its price. Most think its a Harley, while the rest just want to know mileage kitna hai. We answer 20 kmpl and move on.

Crank the ST7 and it starts with a small roar. The V-twin engine are relatively silent but mash the throttle and the lion wakes up.
Sound is apparent at speed and is music to the ears for most. Power delivery is not the smoothest but the ST7 is quick.

Low end torque is not the best but the mid range is excellent and the ST7 pulls with utter urgency when need be.
Handling is good for a cruiser but don't expect to knee down on this monster. Ride quality is a little harsh but decent for a bike of this size.

The steering is surprisingly light and seldom do you realise you are riding such a heavy motorcycle. Braking is good but the tyres don't help much in the wet.

The ST7 is an excellent bike for its price. It offers alot. The bike looks smashing, has good power and rides and handles decently. Garware Motors is doing their best to ensure good service and so far we haven't heard any complaints.

Further more, the company gives you a chance to test ride the machine before buying one, which is a huge swinging factor to checkout the ST7 before you put down Rs 6 lakh.
