It has been fairly scientifically established that certain foods trigger migraines. The caffiene, aspertame, histamine, beta-phenylethylamine, nitric oxide, MSG and tyramine content of these eatables are responsible for provoking migraines, says Healthline.
Cause: Perhaps the histamine and tyramine in alcohol, especially in red wine.
Cause: Perhaps the caffeine and beta-phenylethylamine in chocolate.
Cause: Perhaps the caffeine in energy drinks, soft drinks, coffee and tea.
Cause: Perhaps the tyramine in some cheeses like feta, blue cheese, Parmesan.
Cause: Perhaps the nitric oxide in ham, sausages, cured meat.
Cause: Perhaps the tyramine in sauerkraut, soy sauce, kimchi, kombucha, fermented pickles and fermented vegetables.
Cause: Perhaps anything sweetened with aspartame, be it a sports/energy drink, desserts, yoghurt and more.
