We had asked you, dear readers, to share pictures from your travels to Kashmir.
Rediff reader Gagan Chachra shared these photographs.

Gagan Chachra visited Kashmir in June 2019.

"It was peaceful," he says.

"We travelled to Sonmarg, Pahalgam and Gulmarg. We saw defence personnel everywhere.

"The locals were simple and honest.

"We visited Shankaracharya temple and all popular gardens. We enjoyed boating at the Dal Lake and shopping in Lal Chowk market," Gagan added.

Here are some photographs from Gagan's trip to the valley.
