The Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In) has issued an advisory for all Google Chrome users on Mac, Windows, and ChromeOS platforms. Due to two major flaws in Google Chrome, hackers may steal your data, mess up your system. Here's what you should do?
CERT-In has identified two major flaws, designated as CIVN-2025-0007 and CIVN-2025-0008, which impact Google Chrome on both Mac and Windows operating systems.
Chromebooks that are running outdated versions of ChromeOS (specifically, versions prior to 16093.68.0) are also vulnerable to a variety of threats. Threats like spoofing, cross-site scripting, and even remote code execution because of some silly bugs like stack buffer overflows and integer overflows.
Desktops, laptops, and Chromebooks are the most at risk, but even mobile users on smartphones are not safe.
To protect your devices, just update Chrome and ChromeOS right away. It’s the easiest way to keep your data safe and secure.
