Kangana Ranut, Sonam Kapoor and Rani Mukerji were among the many stars who walked the red carpet at the GQ Men of the Year Awards here are some sartorial hits and misses.

We start out with the curvy Neha Dhupia who nailed the red carpet look with her choice of outfit! 'Nuff said. You may now drool!

Kangana Ranaut or a lifelike wax statue of hers (we aren't sure which is which here) made a shocking entry promising to burn everything in the line of her vision.

We've been tad exhausted by Sonam Kapoor's incessant attempts at showing how fashion conscious she is. So when she turned up in this Jean Paul Gaultier number, we couldn't help break into an evil smirk.

What she's wearing is probably worth the GDP of an African nation but did she carry it off the way she was hoping to? We aren't quite sure. You tell us!

Young guns Virat Kohli and Prateik Babbar exhibited just how a dinner jacket must be worn.

The bowtie was on prominent display and model Keith Sequeira and Vir Das carried it off rather well while yesteryear model Bikram Saluja seemed to have risen up from the dead in this rather intriguing maroon jacket.

Pria Kataria Puri looked every bit the star designer in this sexy black number, as did Queenie Singh who complemented her's with a blue (Bottega Veneta?) clutch.

Filmmaker Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra looks like he was about to give a lecture albeit in a unique double breasted bandhgala.

And while we couldn't help but give her clutch (?) bag (?) toolbox (?) two thumbs up, Poorna Jagannathan seemed like she could have done with some sleep.

Pictures like this one make us wonder why we don't see more of Shruti Hassan. Heck we'd even tolerate a bad film if she looked like this for the duration.

Nina Manuel who must've left a string of broken hearts behind makes a stunning entry at the awards ceremony.

Director Abhishek Kapoor looked like he could've done with a few sartorial lessons from girlfriend Pragya Yadav. We wouldn't be surprised if that jacket was thrust upon him by the good folks at GQ to maintain the decorum of the evening. Sigh!

Going solo these days is Aditi Rao Hydari hoping to make the most of her success in Murder 3.

Artist Olivia Fraser and author William Dalrymple painted a pretty picture, Fraser wearing a stunning black sari while Dalrymple seemed happy to not get out of his sartorial comfort zone.
