CBSE has announced some modifications for the upcoming exam, with the primary objective of enhancing the overall educational experience. Key highlights...
Class 10: Theory examinations will commence on February 15, 2025, and conclude on March 18, 2025.
Class 12: Theory examinations will commence on February 15, 2025, and conclude on April 4, 2025.
The CBSE board intends to reduce the number of constructed response questions to promote critical thinking among students. This will be implemented for both classes 10th and 12th, with a reduction in both short and long-answer questions.
Internal assessment will now constitute 40 per cent of the total marks, while the remaining 60 per cent will be based on the final board examinations. Internal assessment will encompass projects, tests, and assignments.
Minimum attendance of 75 per cent is mandatory for students to qualify for the 2025 board examinations. However, 25 per cent relaxation will be granted in specific circumstances, like medical emergencies or participation in sports, provided valid proof is submitted.
Special examinations will be conducted for students participating in national or international sports events or Olympiads. Students whose examinations conflict with these dates will be eligible to avail of this facility.
To ensure the safety and security of students, CBSE plans to implement digital fingerprinting, photo capturing, and face matching with candidates’ scanned images during and after examinations.
