'But, what we can do is stretch and flex our muscles well enough to prepare ourselves for the day ahead.'

IMAGE: 'Nothing can be more energising on a Monday morning than listening to the Vedas and mindfully breathing and enjoying a yoga practice,' says the actor.

The shift of the entire body's weight to each leg strengthens the ligaments and tendon of the feet. It also helps strengthen the thighs, calves and ankles. It also helps improve focus.'

IMAGE: When Shilpa first tried the sirsasana almost three years ago, she was told she wouldn't be able to it since she suffered from cervical spondylosis.
'Started out late, but I made it my personal goal to attempt it with diligence, faith and the belief that 'the mind is more powerful than the body'.
'It took me a few months to accomplish the mission I was on but nailed it nevertheless,' shares the actor.

'This variation not only stretches the thighs, hamstrings, groin, abdomen, chest, shoulders and neck. It also helps open up the hips and adds more flexibility to the hip region,' she reveals.
